Just to let you know of some of the things we have found out the more we dig the more we find out. Sometimes a little shocking.Last Sunday when we taught the temple prep class in Changmwe . We were a little socked that most already had there temple recommend . I said that it was early for them to get there recommend seeing as that they were not going until next May. He said that he has had one for quiet some time and he needed to renew it. Others said that theirs also needed renewal. I said then you are endowed they said no. Mom was sitting by the primary Pres. She said that hers needed to be renewed also. Mom ask her how her husband felt about her going to the temple. She said she isn't married and has never been married. Mom ask about the father of her two children. She said she new nothing about him [or them].She said it improves a girls chances of marriage if the future husband can see she can have children and didn't have a clue that is not in harmony with church standards and she is a great lady but they see nothing is wrong and neither does the leaders. So off we go to teach branch Pres. and we have really opened a can of worms! They read that every worthy member should hold a current recommend. We taught that it is every endowed or someone who is prepared to go to the temple. They have been giving out recommends to most of the members for a long time also they don't ask the worthiness questions that are in the front of the book. So we did a roll play on how to conduct an interview. Now we need to go back and teach what those questions are about and what they mean. This is just the tip of the iceberg.It is this way in all of the branches. I hope I get to talk to mission Pres. next week but I have my doubts as he is having major problems with the Visas for the incoming new missionaries . The government is mad at pres Obama so the church being American based they are not giving out new Visas So we are short on missionaries . There are a number of them who are going and have gone home and they have no replacements. So Pres. is very busy trying to solve that. So Mom and I have decided that we are going to do what we need to do. We are not going to hope it all goes away.We don't know what is going to happen if we cant get new missionaries with the mission. We will be loosing two missionaries in first part of Dec. Then three more in the first part of next year. So we will see I am sure the lord will work it out. We love you all Mom and Dad
